The Youth Pageant is open to all Arkansas residents and is held in the Arkansas Building Saturday, October 12th at the Arkansas State Fair Grounds at 2600 Howard Street in Little Rock, AR.

SCHEDULE: (8:00 - 9:00) Check-in for age groups 6 and under. (9:30) Pageant begins for divisions 6 and under. (1:00 - 1:30) Check-in for age groups 7 and up. (2:00) Pageant begins for ages 7 and up. Crowning will be held after each division.

Arrive ready to grace the stage because space is extremely limited. Contestants will compete in a beauty dress of their choice. Competition for each age group will begin with a line up of contestants with individual modeling to follow.

Awards: Queen, 1st and 2nd runners up will be presented after each division along with side awards (prettiest hair, eyes, personality, smile, best dress, photogenic).

Contestants do not have to be a winner from their local fair pageant or have participated in their local fair pageant to compete at the state level.

Contestants are required to be on time for check-in and the pageant. We will start on time for all age groups to allow a smooth and time-efficient pageant.

All youth contestants will compete in pageant dress (long or short)only. There is a limited amount of space in the dressing room so please come stage-ready with hair and makeup. Once you have changed into your pageant dress, please do not hang out in the dressing room! No more than one FEMALE guest is allowed in the dressing room with the contestant. If a father is chaperoning his daughter, they must use the family restroom in the area between the Hair and Makeup room and dressing room to change into attire.

NO CAMERAS, VIDEO CAMERAS, or CELL PHONE CAMERAS are allowed backstage! All stage and crowning shots will be available for purchase from Danny Barger Photography. Please see the photographer before the pageant begins.

Judges will be looking for facial beauty, personality, stage presence, confidence, poise, and overall appearance. The pageant will choose qualified and impartial judges and their names will not be released before the pageant.

Score sheets will NOT be given out or made available at any time. All decisions of the judges are final.

Good conduct and sportsmanship are always expected during the pageant and throughout the reign of each winner. Bad sportsmanship from a contestant, family member, or supporter will result in disqualification and/or relinquishing of that title as well as being banned from all future pageants at the Arkansas State Fair. Unbecoming conduct and bad language will NOT be tolerated.

Contestants in divisions 1-3 must be accompanied onstage by a chaperone. Ages 3-4 may have a chaperone onstage without any deduction of points. Contestants must compete their age the day of the pageant.

Enter the fairgrounds through Gate 11. Various groups may be arriving at this gate at the same time, so please allow extra time to arrive. Only the contestant and one parent/guardian will be allowed free admission with the passes you receive if you submit your entry by the deadline. These will be mailed to you along with a map of the fairgrounds. All others must pay gate admission and parking fees. You may drop off your contestant and/or any handicapped persons at the Arkansas Building, but parking for the pageant will be in the South parking lot. Please allow yourself extra time to walk back to the Arkansas Building.

The deadline to enter is September 30, 2024, at 5:00 pm. Free parking pass & gate admission for two (2) for the day of the pageant will be mailed to the address on this form.. All forms and fees must be completed online. No physical forms are accepted. The Arkansas State Fair is not responsible for confirmations forms that may be lost or delayed in transit by shipping method.
