Barton Coliseum has been the scene of economic prosperity for agriculture and livestock for decades. When cotton crops were falling in the 1940s and 1950s, Col. T.H. Barton became the visionary for Arkansas' expansion in the livestock arena. Barton Coliseum, his name sake, is the premier venue promoting and enhancing the heritage of agriculture in Arkansas. For over 60 years young people have learned, experienced, and built their futures at the state's top ag events and livestock competitions held at Barton.
