"2007 State Fair Best of All-Time! "
Despite two days of heavy rain the 2007 Arkansas State Fair finished with its best attendance figures of its 68-year history. New promotions, an unbelieveable free entertainment line up and new attractions helped bring crowds to the Fair this year in huge numbers.

"2007 Colgate Country Showdown Winners Announced"


Each year, more than 50,000 artists compete in local competitions throughout the US. The Arkansas State Fair showcased two days of the competition feauring 19 different acts who had won a local contest sponsored by radio stations throughout Arkansas.

“2007 Fair Queen and Rodeo Queen Named”

A time honored tradition at the State Fair is to crown two lucky queens, a State Fair Queen and a Rodeo Queen. The highly prestigious titles are sought after by hundreds of young women across the state. The competitions take place during the Fair as contestants are judged in categories ranging from interviews, evening wear and sportswear for the Fair Queens, to skills and personality for the Rodeo Queens.

“2007 State Fair Youth Talent Contest Winners”

The following individuals and groups were winners at this year's State Fair Youth Talent Contest. Each contestant entered had already won their category in a county or district fair competition prior to the State Fair.

Vocal Solo – Laken Moore from Drew County
Vocal Group – Megan England and Ashley Gerard From Rison
Instrumental Solo – Kaleena Hutchins from North Central Arkansas District Fair. ****Also awarded Best Overall of Talent Contest****
Dance Solo – Caroline Fuller from Southeast Arkansas District Fair.
Dance Group – Deborah Moore Dancers – Makenzie Moore, Meredith Lockridge, Katie Stahler, Kayla Waters, Katie Beth Collier, Kylie Prouty, Emily Long and Mallory Moore from Northwest Arkansas District Fair.
Variety – Clay Hoffmann, Harry Clark and Jed Clark from White County Fair.
Bob Evans Memorial – Dance Art Dancers – Kayla Stiles, Sadie Bryant, Larry Graham and Ashley Walthall from Columbia County Fair.
