EVENT POLICIES and GUIDELINES General Policies for Barton Coliseum and Fairgrounds |
Bottles, cans, coolers, fireworks, backpacks, duffle bags,
explosive devices, food, and recording devices are not permitted
in Barton Coliseum. It is the discretion of the show whether or not video cameras or still cameras are allowed for events. Signs will be posted and event staff will be notified prior to each event regarding changes in policies. Patrons may contact our office at 501-372-8341 prior to scheduled event to confirm individual event policies. Items brought into facility may be confiscated by Event Staff or patrons may be ejected from event. All confiscated items will be sent to the security office and held for pick-up for 30 days. After the 30 day period, the items will be discarded. |
Searches |
All patrons entering the Fairgrounds are subject to a search.
Patrons refusing a search may be refused entry on to the grounds. |
Door Times |
The door times for all events range from one hour to one
and a half hours, depending on the attendance and the type
of the event. |
Banners |
Banners may not be hung anywhere in the Coliseum by anyone
other than those given written authorization to do so by Barton
Coliseum. Patrons must return any unauthorized banners to
their vehicle. |
Child's Admission Policy |
Everyone, 2 years or older, attending events must have a
ticket, unless otherwise stated. |
Illegal Vending and Soliciting |
Barton Coliseum will not permit vending, soliciting, collecting
contributions for any purpose whatsoever or distributing of
handbills or fliers on the premises. |
Knives and Weapons |
Patrons in possession of knives, handguns, decorative handcuffs,
spiked wristbands or weapons of any kind will not be permitted
on the Fairgrounds or in facilities. All items must remain
in cars or checked in with a Security officer. |
Laser Pointers |
Any patron seen using a laser pointer will be escorted out
of an event with no refund. |
Alcohol Policies |
All patrons in the building, who are identified as being
under the age of 21 and in possession of alcohol, will be
taken to the security office, ejected, and their parents will
be notified for proper advisement. When necessary, they may
be turned over to the Little Rock Police Department. All persons who are drinking alcohol and appear to be under the age of 21 but cannot produce proper identification will be processed as above. All persons identified as the person(s) supplying underage drinkers with alcohol will be processed as above. All persons 21 and over who are found at the Coliseum with alcohol in bottles or cans in their possession will be taken to the Security Office. |
Facility Admission, Anti-Scalping
Policies |
No person, including minors, shall be admitted to any event
without holding a valid ticket to the event. Selling tickets in excess of face value (scalping) is illegal in the state of Arkansas. No persons, including minors, shall be permitted to the events at the arena and complex unless properly attired. Barton Coliseum reserves the right to determine proper attire and refuse admittance by any patron. No person shall be admitted with any of the following items in possession: alcoholic beverages, controlled substances, pets, bottles, cans, shopping carts, coolers, fireworks, weapons, back packs and duffle bags. No person shall bring any object into the arena with the intent to use or which may be used as a weapon or projectile. |
Smoking |
All Builings on the Complex are smoke-free. Smoking is
not allowed in public areas by any patron or employee. There
are however two designated smoking areas outside the buildings.
